I'm all over an SNES completion project whenever that happens. No matter how good or bad the game, it is my favorite system, so yeah.

I've been playing Caesar's Palace, an old game my friend and I used to play. I wouldn't mind doing an FAQ for that game if no one else is commited to doing one.

Damn it's hard to find any worthwhile NES games to try writing for. Believe me, I tried. Popped in my CD full of NES games of all regions, tried plenty of 'em, haven't found anything good. Any suggestions from those that aren't already taken? Note that I prefer longer, more involved games, and I'm not into shooters/driving/sim games. Thanks.

Devin if you want an RPG you could try Deep Dungeon 4. I was going to do it back in August but then I decided not to even bother and I still haven't tried.

Tombs and Treasures could use a detailed FAQ. The one posted here now is rather vague. If I had time I'd be all over it, but I'd rather see someone else give this game its due.

I'm working on rewriting the games list. I'm starting from scratch, because it's actually faster to do every one than to pick and choose. It's going to be in txt form like the old one, and I hope to keep it up to date. It should be done in the next day or two.

If the FAQ button is still next to the name of the game you should still click it. There are a lot of in-depth FAQs or partial FAQs and the point of this project is complete FAQs.

Well, I got bored so I made a program to convert my list to html. I also made a basic site. I'll add more features later, but I think it work for now.

On the list, the right most column will have whoever's name that is working on the faq. Post which games you are working on and I'll add your name.

Is anyone thinking about doing Tombs & Treasures? As I mentioned, there is a FAQ for it on the site, but it acts as more of a quickie walkthrough for the game. I'd love to see a detailed guide that leads the player by the nose.
For those unfamiliar with the game, it is along the lines of Shadowgate, Deja Vu and Uninvited, yet a bit different.

I just added a new list to it. It shows all the guides we have written for this project. I went through all the posts in this topic, but if I've missed any, please tell me. I also added the last few people who posted to the incomplete games list next to the game they're working on.
Again, the site is at:

Meow, Tombs & Treasures is one of my remaining 16 games, hence the reason I want a guide written for it. Yeah, that sounds weak, but with the twins I haven't had much time to spend on beating the remaining 16, so blowing through T&T would end the drought for me.
I just scanned the guide online and it did state that you must be at level 21 before taking on Tezcat. Let me know if that makes a difference.
Perhaps I will just go through the game on my own and play for small stretches at a time until I finish it. I hate playing adventure games that way, but I seriously would not be able to play for longer than an hour unless I started forsaking sleep.

I'm not saying I'm going to but I would love it if somebody could make a FAQ/Walkthrough for the puzzle game Shockwave. If you do decide to FAQ it, please e-mail me at DEarnhardtRulez@yahoo.com and tell me. I could help whoever does it, I'm done with the first ten levels and I'm making maps for every level. I would do it but the levels are just too confusing now. Whoever makes one can have the part of my FAQ as long as a small compromise may still occur. :)

I just got into playing Sky Kid again today because I don't remember there being a definite ending. I did something in Mission 11 that I do not recall doing when I played this game back in the 90's, and that is bombing the spaceship. When I destroyed it, it played a "Good Ending" and then brought me to Mission 12. I seem to recall just playing the game until around Mission 26 years ago and nothing happening.
Later tonight I will try and get into the 20's. I have the game save-stated at Mission 18. I am playing the Famicom version, which looks pretty much identical. I found the address that makes it so that you always have a bomb and never need to pick one up, so it's basically infinite bombs. Freeze address $00B1 at value 4 for the bombs. The only drawback is that you cannot perform a loop because you are always holding a bomb, so just deactivate the code until you need a bomb.

Hmm, I saw a guide for Sky Kid on another platform that claims it goes on to level 40. I don't know if it's accurate though. If it is that long, it might be hard to write a guide for. Even with freeze states I have trouble getting past some levels. I just wish I could find a code to keep me from getting shot down.
I'll start on the guide tomorrow, after my last difficult final exam.

revned, I managed to get to Mission 45 today. Here's how the Missions break down:
Every 11th Mission you get the opportunity to destroy a Spaceship. I destroyed it at Mission 11 and got a cool ending sequence titled "Happy Ending" where it shows you, Max and the 2 girls being thrown up in the air. After this intermission it goes on to Mission 12 which is similar to Mission 1.
At Mission 22 you get to fight another Spaceship. However, if you destroy it this time you simply move on to Mission 23. There is no ending sequence like before...there isn't even that screen where it gives you bonus points. You simply move on to Mission 23.
The same thing happens after beating the Spaceship in Mission 33 and again in Mission 44. You simply move on to the next Mission.
Perhaps if you missed destroying the Spaceship in Mission 11 and then destroy it in Mission 22, you get the "Happy Ending" there. I don't know. If you don't destroy the Spaceship in any of the Missions where it appears you just complete the rest of the Mission and go on to the next one.
A really odd thing did happen after destroying the ship in Mission 22. All the odd numbered Missions after that through Mission 33 were all black and white and grey, with no color. It went back to normal after Mission 33, but I thought that was odd.
I guess I would consider beating this game as destroying the Spaceship and getting the "Happy Ending" sequence, as the game pretty much keeps repeating. Whether you destroy the Spaceship in Mission 11, 22, 33 or so on, I guess just destroying it counts as beating the game. I assume it continues the same in Missions 55, 66, 77 and so on.
I know more about this game than I ever wanted to know, so if you have any questions while writing your FAQ, I might be able to answer them. I know if you do your loop around the Statue of Liberty, her skirt falls off. If you do a loop in front of the Sun, it turns into the Moon and the screen goes dark. This game is packed with neat little hidden things.
