I typically include a Table of Contents in my FAQs, but I didn't for the R.C. Pro-Am Racing II one because it didn't feel like it needed one. There weren't enough sections to justify it, just the intro stuff, the track strategies, and then acknowledgements and such. You'll find I do use the Table of Contents in both of my Duck Tales guides, also up on the site.

NNNesterJ rocks. One of the best NES emulators in existence.
I personally don't have anything in mind at the moment. Although there could be something interesting that I'd like to do if I find it. By the time this topic reaches 400 or so I could probably decide. ;)

almost done... i'm about 80% done with this (the core engine), but now i decided to work on the interface a little bit... i don't want to over do it, so i'll just keep it simple...
here's what i got for now, but that's the basic idea... if anyone feels they can pull something they'd rather use instead (for teh interface), that's cool... but basically this is what it would look like:
http://www.mvhsbreakers.com/junk/nes-faqs/register.html
like i said, that's just the interface, so the buttons don't work there (although the scripts are just being tested but should be ready to go by the end of the week)... i still need to add some graphics to it, though...
anyhoo, just wanted to share that... peace to all...

okay, i'm tired... heh, i'll take a break and come back to this tomorrow or something... i'm still testing most of the code, but i've fixed a few things and now you can go register (just so we have some sort of control over who can come and use the site)...
here it is...
http://www.mvhsbreakers.com/junk/nes-faqs/register.php
if you want more features, just post your ideas here and i'll see what i can do =P
also, i'm still working on the interface, so don't worry if you think it looks too plain right now...
oh, and one last thing... i'm not too sure what i should write for teh 'about' section (or even if there should be one, which i think there should), so if anyone could help me out on that, i'd appreciate it...
thanks again and have a good day...

This topic is right up my alley...or would have been about a year ago. All but 1 of my FAQs are for NES games ( http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/recognition/271.html ), but as I have told Andrew in email, my wife and I just had twins last week and I don't see myself writing any guides in the immediate future.
However, if anyone needs any help/info/etc. I would be more than willing to lend my $0.02.
My only gripe with trying to get FAQs made for every US released NES game is with the quality. I know none of us get paid for NES guides, but I just wouldn't want to see a game that truly needed a guide get the half-a$$ treatment just so it gets its own guide.
Anyway, being the NES fanatic that I am, this is pretty exciting seeing everyone attack the NES games. Should be fun checking in on the daily updates.

Yeah, I thought I was the NES FAQ King until you went and wrote one for every letter of the alphabet...that's a bit hard to top :)
Being a FAQer since 1996 (Treasure Island Dizzy being my first), it has been nice watching which games get guides written for them and which don't. I've used Wilson's and Andrew's FAQs to help me get through some of the hard games and hopefully will get to plow through Hillsfar and use Overdrive's Pool of Radiance at some point.
Meow, good to see Battletoads/Double Dragon get a guide. I'm actually tempted to whittle away at a FAQ of my own in my spare time. If nobody has claimed ULTIMATE STUNTMAN, then I'd like to claim it as my own. I figure I can get a little bit done every once in awhile, but if somebody was thinking about doing this game and can get it done a lot sooner, by all means let me know in this thread, otherwise I will probably break ground on it within the next week.

Congrats on graduating nietsnie. Despite your busy life you still got something very nice up. I imagine the next few days--and the summer--will be very cool. Just after HS graduation often is for many people.
I guess one feature you could implement whenever there's time--and I think we all understand if you'll be just hanging around with friends for several weeks, and besides the page is already a fine reference--would be to have expiration dates for people claiming to do FAQs, i.e. 6 months after, or maybe they could impose those themselves based on how long they feel the game would take.
From here I would like to branch this topic off into one where people can brag "I completed game X" or ask about certain NES games they're thinking about doing, or that others would really like to see(request list aside.) I guess here we would still be discussing the project in general.
*Looks at people who point out what they've written, is already impressed, and points to new topic he created for that purpose in the future.*

I also looked around and found out that Raid On Bubgeling Bay is another name for the game "Helicopter", which I have already FAQed. I reported it to Ceej, asking him to just link my FAQ to that page as well. So it does not need a FAQ anymore.

Okay, screw Mad Max, I just spent half an hour wandering around and didn't find anything. Can anyone recommend a good shooter?

If I can find it, I'll do a FAQ on Aussie Rules Footy. I'll also do Transformers: Convoy no Nazo, if I can damn-well finish it (refer to my review for a reason).

-I don't understand the website. Do we enter our GameFAQs name and password into the thing at the front page? Or do I have to register?
You have to register, you should use your GameFAQs name but not the same password.

Can't load nietsnie's webpage at the moment for some reason, but this seems the best topic to announce that I'm currently working on an FAQ for the NES game 720 (which has been booted up from tentative to will-hopefully-be-submitted-later-today status).

site should be up and running.... although i still haven't been able to eliminate a few bugs, so the only functionable parts of the site are: Register, View Games and Forum... here's a url shortcut that's easy to remember:
