Hey, I'm no expert. But the guide seems pretty comprehensive, unless you have missed a lage chunk of the game out and are not telling us. ¬_¬
Heh, thanks. And no, it's basically as thorough as I can get for now, since each game basically repeats itself in the way that there is no single way to beat each round. It's not like a platform game, where there's a certain way to complete a level.

That's a combination of this topic, the other and What's New, so it should be fairly up-to-date, except, of course, for the people who have bailed out of their game without saying anything.
So far, FecalLord seems to be the MVP, with BSulpher and AstroBlue just behind him.

I also did Hatris Saph. I am hiatus for now though as I work on Super Mario World for my own personal interest. I shall return to it though as the NES is my true love.

It's alive!
Funny that you say that, man, as I was planning to do Star Force until I looked in the manual and realized that most of the info was already covered in there(ship details, power-ups, etc.) But of course there's no walkthrough, so one of those would definitely be cool.
Good luck with it, too; that game is tough unless you're planning on using save states.

The Krion Conquest / Magical Doropi was just submitted.
Also Brian, your FAQs for Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout can also be crosslisted to 'Happy Birthday Bugs' which is the japanese version of the game.
I'm fairly certain that's what this game is supposed to be, as both were made by Kemco in the same year "Happy Birthday Backs"
http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/nes/data/29520.html
So yeah you can probably update your BBBB FAQs and just mention this in the comments box to get it fixed up.

Ok Dan, I ran a basic format update for them and submitted the BBBB FAQs as well as Helicopter (which is the same game as Raid On Bungeling Bay). Here's hoping that they get listed elsewhere, making our lives a bit easier.

Sapharos: Yeah, i have the manual to, but as you know NES-manuals usually disappear. So it won´t be much new stuff, except what the levels are called and those things...
And no, i haven´t finished the game on my NES. I usually end up killing my little brother at level 20 or something, but i made my way to the final level with save states. And i´m kinda confused now, ´cause the game's not over yet. I have to solve that bloody Cleopatra puzzle first.

Darn... he updated my FAQs but did not transfer them over to their japanese counterparts (though I think Helicopter may be the Japanese one with Raid On Bungeling Bay being the North American one). I guess I will try reporting them through the contribution reports again (he said he got it last time but it fixed nothing).

^ Thanks for noticing that Dan. Like I said, there's not much I can do about it. A few games on this site are incorrectly linked to the Japanese counterparts (Wild Choppers to Chopper Attack on the N64 for example).

Anyone know the Famicom name for Flying Dragon? I could check the game out and compare my FAQ to it for any differences, then submit it under that name. I knew the name at one point, but cannot remember it.

Shouldn't you delete the game from the list once it has a complete FAQ for it? Or are you planning to do that anyway?

Cool. The list will need updating soon I guess, especially since no progress is being announced on 8/10 of the goals on there.
On that note, a question for ASchultz:
are you still planning to do Gauntlet II? If so that's cool, but if not I might go ahead and give it a go. I've been considering picking it up off of Ebay for a while, and I think I could manage the guide fairly well if it's anything like the first Gauntlet.

it's not like the first one. the levels are infinite and random, but they start repeating if you play long enough. it's not really a game you could write a concrete walkthrough for.

Sapharos,
are you still planning to do Gauntlet II? If so that's cool, but if not I might go ahead and give it a go.
I am. If I haven't in a few months, drop me a line again and I may handit off. I just have a way to create the text maps without too much hassle, which is what is really needed--the game just keeps throwing random levels at you. I won't be offended if you jump in and write a FAQ, but the main reason I volunteered was that I believe I have a program that can eventually extract all levels.
Oh, and sorry about not getting my King's Quest III FAQ touched up like I said I would. That guide has been sitting around unrevised forever.
As for the original topic--I completed Bubble Bath Babes tho' it hasn't been posted here yet. See honestgamers.com for a preview.

That's the trimmed down version, with all of the tentative stuff and the presumably inactive guides removed. If I removed anyone who was still working on a guide, I'll be happy to add them again.
The completed projects have also been shifted to make things a bit more organized.
ASchultz -
Nah, go ahead and do your thing. I was just curious if you had given up on it or not.
Oh, and about KQ3, I've already played through it(thanks to finally finding the magic info I needed in some guide), so I no longer need that stuff. But I appreciate the thought anyway.
I'm going to tackle the curiously named "S.C.A.T." next.

I'm not sure if anyone else is doing it, but I'm working on Top Players Tennis. Actually, I've temporarily stopped working on it (I had to finish a college research project and I didn't bring my NES with me), but I'll continue in two weeks. I'm about 65% done with collecting all the data I need, but I don't have much in the actual file yet.

Schultz:
I thought you would like to know that Bubble Bath Babes and Mermaids of Atlantis are virtually identical games. (MoA is a clone of BBB, despite having an earlier US release date). You could perhaps send CJayC a note about that and quickly knock another game off the to-do list. The main difference between them is that MoA has story segments.

i'm working on quattro: adventure... i'm just about half way done with it... i just haven't had too much time to work on it, and since there are four games in it, it's sort of like writing four different guides... and this game sucks so very bad that it just makes it kind of annoying to write for it... but i'm still going to finish it sometime soon...

i'm working on quattro: adventure... i'm just about half way done with it... i just haven't had too much time to work on it, and since there are four games in it, it's sort of like writing four different guides... and this game sucks so very bad that it just makes it kind of annoying to write for it... but i'm still going to finish it sometime soon...
Niet, I already did a FAQ for one of the Quattro Adventure games, Treasure Island Dizzy (it was my first, in fact, back in the late 90's). I've always wanted to go back and write a complete walkthrough for the game but just haven't gotten around to it. Feel free to use my guide if you need any assistance.

I haven't seen anyone mention the apparently little known Challenger. I'd be willing to pick that one up if nobody else has their heart set on it.
Progress might be slightly slower than my other two guides went though due to a few life issues popping up though.

Bass0r--if the faq is classified as a skeleton, see if there's a comprehensive way through the game, and if there isn't, maybe write to CJayC why nothing else can be covered.

Challenger walkthrough completed and posted. Didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would, but I've still got a small bit or two to figure out.
The guide that up is, for all intents and purposes, complete though. It'll get you through the four scenes of the game and tells you everything you need to know about them. It is now my pride and joy since it's my most obscure guide to date. ;)

Frankomatic, nice guide for Challenger! I forgot that this is one of those games that stumped me years back. I decided to play through it using your FAQ and I still couldn't beat it. I was playing on the hardest difficulty level (the bar on the title screen being full), so perhaps this had something to do with it. In Stage 2 I went in every single cave you stated in your guide and got the keys/jewelry from the caves, but when I go into the pyramid at the end that goes to Stage 5, that damned boulder is still in the way. I noticed that there are other caves in the level...are these only present when you play on the hardest difficulty? I went into at least 2 more caves and got another key and another piece of jewelry, but the boulder was still there when I went to go into the pyramid.
nietsnie, it's up to you on what you want to do. I was originally going to do the other 3 games seperately and submit them as stand-alone FAQs, then just combine them all into 1 FAQ and submit a Quattro Adventure FAQ, basically giving you a total of 5 guides for the 4-in-1 cart. If you are putting in the work for each seperate game, you might as well submit them seperately first. The only thing is, I don't think the individual games (Boomerang Kid,etc.) on the cart are listed seperately at gamefaqs, so Jeff might not accept that. When I submitted Treasure Island Dizzy, it was a looooong time ago when there weren't any NES game lists on this site to go by.

There are more caves on the higher difficulties? ****, I should've figured that was too easy. Looks like I've got a bit more work to do then! Might have to hack myself up some sort of health code if I can since I can't get very far at all in Scene Two after a certain bar level.
I'll give it another look either tonight or tomorrow depending on how things go and see what I can do.

Frankomatic, I haven't played the game on the easier levels, so I'm not sure if the caves are there or not, but I know there are at least 2 extra caves off the path of your walkthrough that I found.
I have a timer and energy code I came up with.
Timer is at address 0085 and I keep it set at 95 (anything over 80 is fine, as you get the bonus for completing the Stage 3 scenes).
Energy bar is at address 00A9 and I set it at 16 for a full bar. Funny thing is, this is also the address for the Difficulty bar on the title screen.
I was going to try and figure out what the address for keys would be because I couldn't find any more caves and had no idea what the heck to do, so I figured tinkering with the key amounts might eventually remove that boulder in Stage 4, but I got lazy. Maybe tonight I'll try.

Hm. I just played through it on the highest possible difficulty setting without using those hex codes and using my path, but it still worked fine in the end without the boulder being in the way.
So, apparently, either random luck is being very kind to me (as I only found one key that I remember), or one of those codes is making the boulder stay indefinitely.
