Yay, my first nes guide is posted! It's not good but better than the other guide that's for Garfield. I'm currently busy with Asterix, I think I'll be posting that one in about 4 days.

Thunder, I wrote the other Garfield guide.
One thing I'm wondering about...the hardest part of the game is the final boss fight. Your tactics for beating him?
At thend will be the final boss. When he's dead you'll have Odie back!
You don't need a key to go on to the next area.
Are you writing your guides for the sake of writing guides or do you actually want to help people beat the game? If you read further back in this thread I was worried that people would rush out guides just to participate in the NES FAQ Completion Project and that the quality of these guides might have a tendency to be low because of this...

I have so many irons in the fire that I'm tempted to just let some of them be smelted, so that I may focus on things that I care about. However, if I DO return to some of these partially-started guides, then I'll probably work on 'em in this order:
Falco Character Guide (SSBM - Gamecube)
Batman (NES)
Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts (GBA/SNES)
Q Character Guide (3rd Strike - Dreamcast/Arcade/X-Box)
SonSon Character Guide (MvC2 - just about every system out there)

Good luck with Batman. I've had the thing for some 15 years and never got past the second level.

Hey Thunder, I don't really want to go off-topic, but I was checking out some of your work and I am a bit stumped as to what "Troll" game you reviewed for the NES: http://gamefaqs.com/console/nes/review/R76367.html
There are 2 "Troll" NES games. The first is Trolls on Treasure Island by American Video Entertainment, which I am quite familiar with, as I submitted the codes on this site for it: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/nes/code/8263.html . It is very similar to the AVE game Dudes with Attitudes and is absolutely nothing like your review, so I will assume the review isn't covering this Troll game.
The other NES "Troll" game is Trolls in Crazyland, which only got a PAL release and is the same exact game as the Famicom game Crazyland, but with a Troll substituted as the main character. I am also very familiar with this game, as I also submitted the codes on this very site for it: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/nes/code/8262.html
Since these are the only "Troll" NES games out there, could you enlighten me on which game your review was from? Here is an excerpt from your review:
~ Play Time & Replay Value ~ 8/10
There are a lot levels on different floors, like you must beat one to activate the elevator to go to the next floor, sometimes you'll need to swim (that is hard level! because you're air is limited). You can replay the game if you want, I liked it but I never replayed the whole game.
There are no elevators in either Troll game and no swimming involved in either.

He's not saying there's something wrong with the review, so there's no need to remove it. He was just asking what "Trolls" game you wrote the review for.

Can anybody make a new list of games that need to be covered? I've been using this list posted by somebody earlier in this topic:

except there are already a lot that have been covered since it's been posted. Can somebody make a more updated list?

A friend and I have decided to both co-write a FAQ for Maxi 15. We already have about one of the fifteen games in there completed. Already at about 10k and we only finished one of the shorter games. Let's see how far we can get with it.

Nice, a Maxi 15 guide will be cool. One of the games on there, Chiller, already has a really good guide...perhaps you could contact that author and get permission to use it? It is one of the most thorough walkthroughs for a game I've ever used and it would be hard to top it.

I know AdamL, that Chiller game is actually hard, especially with the controller. I can't even get past the first level. I was thinking of asking that author for permission to use the guide but I've been trying to do it myself. Also, even though it's a very small FAQ, that is probably the best FAQ you can get on that game.
--------
Also here's the progress on that game:
My friend finished Double Strike and is half-way done with Krazy Kreatures.
I am one fifth done with Shockwave and that's about it. =(
But he doesn't start school until tomorrow and I had a half-day on Tuesday, reformatted yesterday, and a full day today so I couldn't work on it much.

Just submitted a guide for Fantasy Zone 2. Though it's not complete, and I'm currently wondering how I'm going to do the walkthrough, given the structure of the levels in the game (a bit different from its predecessor).
Anyway, must sleep (1:03AM my time as I'm writing this...zzzZZZzzz).

Do you mean the room in the middle? You have to get the crystals there first by pushing a block against the broken block on the left side, than push the block down and use it to get the other one out of the way, than you can go trough the portal and get them. After that you can destroy the broken block and go further with the rest.

pietjepuk, that Little Red Hood FAQ could be the most important FAQ out of any I've seen lately. See, I beat the game about 4 years ago. I didn't know how I beat it, but I know I played through it and kept plugging away and just kept doing random things until keys appear. I put it on my games beaten list and when people asked me how I beat certain levels, I honestly did not know.
Looking through your guide, I see that I just stumbled across things blindly. I never knew you had to find 12 fruit on each level after finding the key to make the exit appear. Seriously, I remember playing World 10 for hours and could never figure it out until seemingly randomly the exit just appeared. Now I know that I must have purchased a heart right beforehand.
Congrats to you, pietjepuk, for contributing a short, yet entirely useful FAQ on a game that was a mystery to me up until now.

It's good to know that the faq was at least good for something, I've been stuck in the last level myself for quiet a while until I needed some health and brought the heart. Seeing that the game was high on the requested list I decided to make a faq for this crappy game so I could help other people out of there misery.
