Legends of the Diamond done and submitted. I'll get back to helping out with NES games once I finish my TES:3 guide. I'll probably jump back in to some sports titles that haven't been covered yet.

That's why I've been taking the sports games lately, and they're quicker for me to write. But the only one I could think of right now is Ghoul School and that game is really messed up. Unless you want to do some shooters, there's a lot of those left.

Try checking your cache of internet sites on your computer... maybe it is stored away in there. Also, if anyone has looked at that FAQ before, go to the FAQ and maybe their old cache will show it, allowing them topy and paste it into a text file to send to pietjepuk.

No back-ups... how that irks me.
Anyway, it seems like there would be a system in place where old versions of files are still saved somewhere on the site. Perhaps contact CJayC or the Bacon guy and ask?

Alright SubSane, I remembered where I got the info and poured through hundreds of messages before finally finding the thread.
Here is the eBay auction for it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8194077042
If the pics don't show up, keep refreshing. You will notice that the pics on this proto are different from the game, especially in the town sections. There are a couple links in the auction descriptions, including another messageboard thread about the game.
Lostlevels.com pool their resources together to try and procure these rare carts, but lately people are shelling out some serious loot for these protos (see: Dragon Wars).
The owner of this other Drac's Night Out will probably never get it dumped (she is a collector), so I would say it is safe to do a walkthrough for the game as the newer version probably will not see the light of day. Just don't do a "Final" version for it :)

Oh, that auction. I came across it when researching the game but didn't realize it was any different. I was able to get one of those screenshots to load and the village looked like it was in daylight? Different indeed.
I gotta say after really playing through today (and just the first castle), I'm going to go heavy on the maps. There are like 4 or 5 different sections to the castle, which means roughly 120 floors to write about, and they all look very similar. A point-by-point FAQ would just make it difficult to find a specific floor.

Sub, I've tried several times to get through that game and simply cannot do it. I even made a code that made me invincible and I would keep hitting dead ends and could proceed no further. A truly frustrating game.
If you can FAQ the game in its entirety, you are a truly patient man.

It's not much, but I've been playing Araknoid 2 quite a bit the past few days, so I guess I could take that. I'm also frequently checking the list so I can see what games I can find and doing my best to contribute.
So, just thought I'd throw that out. I can probably start it this weekend.

Dude, if you could send me that code it would greatly help.
What's strange is those other sections of the castle appear to have no purpose other than to waste the player's time. I suppose it may be the result of an incomplete game, but I'll still make sure to traverse it all and see what I can find.

Sub, it's been sooo long since I played the game, but I combed through my old NESten files and found the cheat file for this game:
The first 4 digits are the address while the last 2 digits (after the colon) are what you freeze that address at.
03C4: ## (Timer...set at any value above 1)
0659: 05 (Keys...I had this set at 5 for some reason)
03C2: 10 (Blood...I believe this is the code that keeps you nearly invincible, if I recall. Freeze this at 10).
03CC: 05 (Skulls...forget what the skulls were)
00D3: 05 (Infinite Flying...perhaps this is what kept you as a bat in the castle stages?)
065A: 05 (Tea Pot...I think this code was for the town level or something)
065B: 05 (Clover...can't remember what the clover was for).
I believe if you own a Pro Action Replay you can convert these RAM addresses to actual PAR codes. For the clover one I think if you were to put 065B05 as a PAR code, you would get the desired effect. I could be wrong though. Hopefully these help.
Email me if you aren't familiar with FCE Ultra or NESten's cheating interface and I will explain.
