Tigresa, mind letting me take a look at the Fighting Golf FAQ? I'm curious what netted you a LoC rejection for it.

Lee Trevino's Fighting Golf
Capcom (c)1988
No. of Players: 2
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Introduction
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
If you’re ready to play with the big boys (or be one of the big boys), limber
up your swinging finger for Lee Trevino’s Fighting Golf! The game allows up to
four players to be Lee Trevino (“Super Mex”), Pretty Amy, Big Jumbo (the long
ball hitter), or Miracle Chosuke (perfecter of the “reverse miracle putt”).
Play is on a tough U.S. course or a water, hazard-filled Japanese course.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
General Info
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Other than putting, it takes three presses of the A but ton to complete a
stroke: one to start it, one to finish the backswing, and one to complete the
follow-through. If you time the follow-through correctly, you can also draw or
fade the ball. By pressing up or down on the control pad while swinging, you
can hit the ball high or keep it low to the ground.
What we find amazing about this game is that, just like in real life, We shoot
triple bogeys and three-putt half the greens. Our unusual swing and lack of
direction seem to curse us here, too.
Lee Trevino’s Fighting Golf offers an impressive feature list. Up to four
players can play a U.S. or Japanese course, standard or Nassau game. There are
four playing styles to choose from, each represented by a different golfer. If
you care to take a few swings before going out, there’s even a practice tee.
Club selection is fairly complete. Notably, only the 2-wood and iron are
omitted—in favor of the 1-iron.
In addition to choosing clubs and direction, players can play draw and fade
shots, hit high or low, and apply back spin. While choosing a direction,
players can view the immediate area, the entire hole, or take a peek at the
green. The NES automatically recommends a club and direction for each shot.
On the down side, proper club choice seems to be based on distance, rather than
on the ball’s lie. For example, the computer-generated player is somehow able
to play a driver from the rough. (You think maybe he has a tee in his pocket?
We haven’t caught anyone improving a lie with his foot yet, but we’re keeping
our eyes open.)
Graphics 7/10
The graphics are okay for a game of this sort, but lack the detail found in
most current games. One nice touch is that the players sometimes express joy,
disappointment, and anger, depending on what happened to the current shot.
Challenge 10/10
If you’re a golfer, think back to your worst round (if you haven’t already
blotted it from your memory). Now add 50 strokes. If real golf had proven as
tough as Lee Trevino’s Fighting Golf, we would have given up years ago.
Coordination and timing, as in the real game, are key. Hitting a good shot
requires three separate, accurately timed presses of the A button. Doing it
consistently is what separates the great golfers from the also-rans (ourselves
included). If you have the time, however, birdies, pars, and bogeys will come
more often. Personally, I think my short game needs work.
If humiliation is your thing, try playing Nassau with a randomly selected
opponent. You’ll find more often than not that any opponent, hits perfect
260-yard tee shots, frequently chips in from 75 yards out, and one-putts almost
every green. To be fair, each usually has at least one bad hole out of nine.
Unless your reflexes are really sharp, play by yourself or against a friend.
It’s not nearly so embarrassing when you’re both hitting into the water, trees,
or bunkers at least twice each hole.
Sound/Music 8/10
The sound effects are largely limited to the splash of the ball landing in one
of the many water obstacles and the rustling of leaves or a ricochet as the
ball fails to clear a tree. The theme music is relaxing—kind of pastoral—and is
appropriate for a golf game.
Replay Value 10/10
The basic rules of golf, as well as physical laws (gravity, the effect of wind,
what happens when you hit a tree), all appear to apply. Good shots feel almost
as good as ones made on a real course. Although it doesn’t beat the real thing,
the game gives you an opportunity to try out two really tough courses for about
the price of two rounds on a public course (one round with cart rental and
lunch). Bot tom line: Lee Trevino’s Fighting Golf is frustrating, but fun.
Overall 8/10
This score would be a little higher but even this game gives us a run for my
money but hey, I play this game just like I play golf in real life. The game is
still good though if you know what you are doing.
That clearly was lacking. You could've definitely gone into more detail in regard to the gameplay aspects. Describe the different courses, list all the clubs, stuff like that.
True. If I decided to unscrap it, I'll put it up on my own. In the meantime you can pass my claim to the other guy whose working on it.
Sorry, his name is too complicated to remember right now, my brain is off. but Hook on the other hand, I'm putting the finishing touches on it and it will be accepted definitely.
So I decided to work on a game now that vacation has come, so I saw that Commando was listed unfaqed on the List Games option but it is credited to being done on the Completion Site even though theres no faq for it. So I guess I'll faq it and submit it, unless I'm missing something.
Hey all, I picked Artelius, but after playing it for a while I found a problem. The game is more of a rogue-ish, fight until you die kinda game; does this still warrant a walkthrough, or is a general FAQ, with item descriptions, enemy strategies, and tips okay?
Heh, probably not a good idea. Just thought the site could use a few more non-filled and half-circled FAQs kicking around. ;)
As a result of our new findings, regarding DJ Tigresa, the following games have been readded to the 'incomplete' list (the site has already been updated to reflect these changes):
Alpha Mission
Bible Buffet
Cobra Command
Defender II
Flipull
Gyruss
Hook
Infiltrator
King's Quest V
Mechanized Attack
Q*Bert
Rainbow Islands
Rocket Ranger
SonSon
Tetris (Tengen)
Tetris 2
Wizardry
It's unfortunate, but hopefully we'll now get some more quality (and original) FAQs posted for the aforementioned games. :)
