Now that I think about it, I realize that I don't have to wait for the cheat to be posted since it's already in the submission queue (and I doubt it will be rejected). So: At the end of the first quest, you get a "special present"--a code. Press Up six times, Left four times, and Right three times at the title screen and you'll get to play "Another Druaga." The big "DRUAGA" on the title screen turns green if you do it right, and if you still aren't sure, just play the first level and see how the treasure chest doesn't come out when you kill three slimes. Hey, if I was the one that "stole" your Dragon Buster code, then my bad. I didn't see it up on the games code page and I know some people don't submit cheats, so I submitted it anyways. Seeing as yours is already there, I requested mine to be removed as they are the same thing. --- Wake Forest Football: 10-2 (6-2 ACC) Last Game: Win 38-14 ACC Atlantic Div. Nice job with Druaga. I'll probably have to use it when I try that game again. I took a break from writing until classes are done. I was really sick of playing Secret Scout too - horrible control, music... gameplay. One of the worst games on the NES. |

Odino, great guide! As soon as I actually get a good chunk of free time (which seems pretty much impossible with kids, wife, work, shopping, etc. right now), I want to finish Pool of Radiance, Labyrinth and Druaga. I just realized I haven't finished a single US NES game in almost exactly a year, so Radiance will probably go first. I didn't even know there was a second quest to Druaga. Another Druaga? Oh boy... well I've updated the guide but I don't think I have the time and willpower to work another 60 floors right now, especially since there is nothing known about these at this point. At least people can complete the normal game. Maybe some people will email me about the extra floors if they know something. |

.Whoa - congrats on the Druaga FAQ, odino! I've tried the game and I failed miserably (as you might have seen from my review for it). Next time I play it, I'll add some more info to the guide such as the enemies one encounters on each floor. The GB version doesn't seem to show which items one has, that's impossible to play without having played the NES game before me thinks. But as long as the floor puzzles are the same as on the NES then a guide may be even more useful in this case. In other news, I wrote a quickie guide to 2in1 Cosmocop/Cyber Monster, but I wanted to ask if there is really no way to reload in the first game, perhaps finish up the missions? I mean, Sachen can really pull off something horrible so I'm not sure what to expect. |

If BSukpher isnt' going to finish the Tecmo NBA FAQ, I could do it since it's almost the same as the guide I have for Tecmo Super NBA. You're supposed to drive around the buildings marked on your map (Select button) with orange crosshairs. Black circles designate normal cars, red circles designate speeders, and yellow circles designate serious criminals. You're supposed to arrest the speeders and criminals by turning on your siren (Up) and blocking their paths with your car. You also have a gun (A button) which I think you're allowed to use on the criminals as a last resort. Rob |

One of these days I'll finish one of the guides I was working on...if anyone is interested in taking one of them over, by all means let me know, I'd gladly share my efforts, otherwise they'll probably end up sitting for a wee bit more. Life > FAQing. As a side note, is there a way to report guides listed as "complete" that would be better suited as a "draft" guide? For an example of this, take a gander at the FAQ for Superman. 6K...that's like 1K for every hour of game time. Hardly befits the title IMO. There's a few others, but that was the most recent one I've seen. I just don't think it should be listed as "complete" when it's pretty bare-bones. |
| adaml | Posted 12/19/2006 10:57:01 PM | message detail |
|
Yeah, that Superman one is pretty weak. Funny thing about Superman, I've been online since 1995 and I can probably count the number of times I've seen this game discussed on one hand. Seriously, for a game with a movie license, this one gets NO love whatsoever. Yeah, it's craptastic, but it's actually pretty involved if you can get past the graphics. Definitely deserving of a new guide. That's the great thing about this project, not only are guides being completed for games that don't have them, but games like Superman that have skimpy guides can be brought up in hopes of getting a complete one done. There is absolutely no mention of strategy with the final boss on this one. Yeah, that's why I've been asking literally EVERYWHERE for some sort of strategy for him. Don't even know which powers (if any) would work on him. He's just so damn fast! Once I get something figured though, I plan to replay it and rewrite the guide myself, unless someone beats me to it. Another one with a skimpy guide is Conan, but I can't hit that damn Albatross on the 4th stage, so I'm kinda stuck with that one...but at least it has vague references to what you need to do, even if it's poorly written. |

I should have said something sooner. The only reason why I post FAQS/Walkthroughs is for the fuzzy feeling I get inside knowing that I changed the '---' to 'FAQs' next to a game that nobody wants to play through. Just for this reason I submitted a Ghostbusters II FAQ in 2005, Adv. of Rocky and Bullwinkle in 2006 and I just submitted Bloody Warriors on Christmas Day. After a little thought, you might as well add my three NES GameFAQs/Walkthroughs (assuming Bloody Warriors passes) to the completed list on the site. I was taking part in this project without you or me knowing about. The only difference is that I just now posted telling you about it. All past and future faqs of mine have and will be completed for the same reason. I see no reason to exclude my first two faqs from the completed list. I was wondering, to save time do users post in THIS thread what faq they are working on so two or more people do not spend time on the same game. If not, I imagine that would really slow down progress. If that is the case, I plan to begin work on Fushigi no Umi Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water. To hopefully be completed in six months or less. --- I have never had one of these before, maybe I should just make one up. |

browsing through the project page I wanted to mention, that there is something wrong with the letter V: Valkyrie no Bouken: Toki no Kagi Densetsu ..... is missing from the incomplete List and Letter with fewest incomplete games: Z, with only 5 incomplete games. ... is wrong, because Z has only 4 incomplete games (same for Q here), but V has only 3, so even less. other missing incomplete games: (just a raw overview) Y Yakuman Tengoku Youkai Douchuuki Yousei Monogatari RodLand W Winners Cup (no more? listet on GameFAQs) World Super Tennis Worm Vistor (is in the wrong alphabetical order) V Valkyrie no Bouken: Toki no Kagi Densetsu (is missing, as mentioned before) U Ultimate Air Combat (has a half circle FAQ since sometime in 04) there may be lots of other things wrong, but I'm not in the mood to check for more of this and this is not the time for it. --- I don't care who your dad is! A lot of games are only listed for their US/EU release... E. .g. World Super Tennis -> Top Players Tennis Yousei Monogatari RodLand -> Rod Land. ...or have different names: Yakuman Tengoku -> Shin 4-Jin Uchi Mahjong: Yakuman Tengoku Youkai Douchuuki -> Shadow Land Valkyrie no Bouken -> Legend of Valkyrie If you search the GameFAQs info then you'll notice that. Some other games might have been slightly renamed, but not by enough that it's worth hassling Devin about it. The stats are not up to date, it's a manual process. @flushpuppy there are still some easy games left, depending on what kind of game you are looking for. |

| Once again Adam, thanks for the video of the Superman endgame. Helped me get a winning strategy out of it :-) So now this poses a question...I'm planning to do a proper guide for Superman now, since the guide seems pretty weak for a complete one, but it's still technically a full circle guide...should I put a note on the top about the completion project anyway, or would it not count? I think it's a kind of grey-area, since it's unlikely anyone's going to go through every last guide to check and make sure they are actually deserving of a full circle. I'm going to do the guide either way, but I want to know if I should report it's posting when it goes up or not :P |

I was a bit bored so I decided to go trolling on Google for possible walkthroughs to The Tower of Druaga's second quest. Pluvius, that is awesome. Once I figured out "pushed down" means kill I was even able to complete the first level ;) Seems you need to let one green slime run into your drawn sword. I'll update the guide today. Why don't you add that 2nd code before somebody else does it? The one about seeing the ending or something about the treasure, can't quite make this out. I was actually playing the GB version yesterday but couldn't find a lot of treasure on levels, perhaps there isn't that much. I guess it's on hold for now. Also Minesweeper 1,2 & 3 got complete status. Phew. |
| Pluvius | Posted 1/5/2007 1:13:07 AM | message detail |
|
I couldn't understand that code either; it didn't work for me when I tried it, anyway. It's a stage select, as far as I can tell. Anyway, I did manage to play through the entire second quest using that page. The only thing I couldn't entirely figure out was Level 46; it obviously has something to do with the slime's fire and killing the dragon, but I sort of lucked into getting the treasure there. Besides "pushed down," the most important things to understand are that "lead" is a mistransliteration of "red" and that "low/row per" is a mistransliteration of "roper." "Meiji" means "mage" and "receiving a spell" is just an odd way to say "blocking a spell." Rob |
