Welcome to the NES FAQ Completion project, which strives to get one full circle guide for every single game released on the console. Since starting in 2004, there have been 362 new FAQs created for this project which just leaves 618 left to go. The project page can be found here: http://faqs.retronintendo.com/ To check what games are most popular and lack a guide, use this search link: http://www.gamefaqs.com/search/index.html?platform=19&game=&contrib=1&genre=0®ion=0&date=0&sort=1&adv=1 you can also tweak the search settings to your liking, for example, only show NA games. |

I'm surprised nobody has FAQed Madoola no Tsubasa: The Wing of Madoola yet. Was thinking about it, but that game is pretty frustrating. Did you ever play Dragon Buster II? It looks all right, not so random than part 1, and I wonder how long it is. Once I read this on your Endings guide I'll decide :) Also, it is listed here at gamefaqs, twice Unfortunately that's the way it is when data gets updated, I added ": The Wing of Madoola" later. It makes the lists look like there are duplicates yet they point to the same game. What's more confusing is games having the main title in English (i.e. Tower of Druaga) but the other title is in Japanese. |

I'll look into Dragon Buster II. Wing of Madoola is very interesting to me. It doesn't look like it will be a frustrating game to FAQ, seeing how I made a code for infinite energy. That code will allow me to explore around Stages 4 and 5 more, as they are sprawling caverns with different paths you can take. The game kind of reminds me of Super Pitfall in these 2 stages. That was a game I was frustrated with for years and one day I just decided to map it out and the rest is history. I may start on a walkthrough for this game and just do a little at a time. I'm not going to bother claiming games any more because I have backed out of 3 of them, but this game certainly intrigues me. --- American NES games left to beat: 12 Last 3 NES games beaten: Championship Pool, Wario's Woods and Overlord [Updated 4/4/07] |

Yes, odino is prolific in every sense of the word. His dedication to the project is exemplary. Anyway, I was inspired today and I've written a FAQ for Bigfoot, the one I promised I would write a few months back when I wrote that one for Thrilla's Surfari. Once it's accepted here--I just submitted it--that'll take my number of FAQs for this project up to three, I believe. I was thinking I might write one for The Flintstones: The Rescue of Dino & Hoppy next, since it's one of my favorite games. I don't know why it doesn't have a FAQ already. Was anyone else planning to do that, or should I consider my 'dibs' called? --- http://www.honestgamers.com/ We want your FAQs. You want to help more people and get more hits. Hey DEngel, I used your walkthrough to blast through the game. The NES and Gameboy versions must be identical, because your guide lead me right through it. I do recall there being one part where you had "move left" and is should have been "move right" or something like that, but it was pretty easy to figure out what to do at that point in the game. I think I may have even emailed you on that, but it's been awhile. Nice work on the guides though. Odino, nice Madoola FAQ. I will trudge through that game later tonight. -Adam --- American NES games left to beat: 12 Last 3 NES games beaten: Championship Pool, Wario's Woods and Overlord [Updated 4/4/07] |

Excuse me if I am stupidly wrong, but I only felt like leafing through the posts. http://faqs.retronintendo.com/nes/incomplete_games.html Taro's Quest (prototype and listed as Jajamaru Ninpou Chou - Japan) is listed on GameFAQs, but not at retronintendo. I see Jajamaru Ninpou Tobari at retronintendo, but I do not think that is the same thing. Taro's Quest (prototype) does not have a FAQ written for it. I wonder why it was cancelled. *Sarcastic mmmmmmmmmmm* I was also wondering about a game that I saw listed as a prototype called Free Fall. I have experienced the game. It looks homemade to me. It is not listed on GameFAQs. Do you know what it is? Your typed thoughts are welcome. --- I have never had one of these before, maybe I should just make one up. |

In the later half of the previous topic, we decided to remove prototypes/cancelled games that were deemed highly unlikely to ever be dumped or otherwise released to the public. However, we all make mistakes, so if there is something that truly should be on (or off) the list, let me know and I'll take care of it. --- Devin Morgan | CRP #3579 FAQ Completion Projects (NES, GB/GBC): http://faqs.retronintendo.com |
| Devin Morgan | Posted 5/3/2007 2:27:17 PM | message detail |
|
And on another note, the reason why we have the Japanese name for Taro's Quest listed on the incomplete list, is because the game was actually released in Japan. Therefore, it was officially released over there, and should be listed as such. Taro's Quest (the US incarnation) was cancelled, so why should we be using the US name if only the JP version was released? --- Devin Morgan | CRP #3579 FAQ Completion Projects (NES, GB/GBC): http://faqs.retronintendo.com |

They are the same game, if the proto is complete and in English then some may prefer to play that one for sure. Anyone searching the database here would notice straight away that both names are listed under the same page. By the way I've never managed to add 'Makai Island' to the Higemaru page, I think it would look good to have that as "Cancelled" like Taro's Quest, Super Pitfall II and Zombie Master. Anyone else care to try? Incidentally, mark me down for Zombie Hunter. I've been working on it for a while now. |

Alright, unfortunately for the project, this past week I bought a Wii and World of Warcraft so I'm really caught up in other games. =P I'll try to write for some basic games so I could still contribute to the project, but I would like to take my name off of Trolls on Treasure Island since it is starting to get a little difficult and I'm losing patience for it. I am going to offer it up for grabs for as long as it takes. I have what I believe to be the first half of the game done. I don't even want a co-author, just give me credit somewhere and you could put it up yourself. E-mail me if you want it. Re: Devin Yeah I lost interest in writing period for a good while, I guess burned out. Been working, handling college and a girlfriend over the course of time and recently decided to get back into writing again once things became more stable. Didn't bother using AIM a whole lot because on my old name I'd still be heckled about my old, old DBZ site or my slew of stalkers would keep using 10 names to try and talk to me and instead of making a new name, which I'd have to inform everyone about and even try to track down people not on my Buddy List, due to losing touch, but hoping to hear again someday. Seriously, I couldn't log in without at least 5+ IMs a night and my Block List can only hold so many. However I may just give this all up and try to refind my AIM password for my screename, since that's partly 1/2 the reason I can't even get on it.
